CORN TRAIT INFORMATION

LibertyLink® (LL) provides high-performing genetics coupled with excellent performance on tough-to-control weeds for real yields that deliver. High performing corn hybrids with the LibertyLink trait allow growers to spray powerful Liberty® herbicide in-crop for nonselective postemergence control of even the toughest weeds, including Palmer amaranth, giant ragweed, kochia, waterhemp and marestail.

Roundup Ready® Corn 2 (R) Roundup Ready® Corn 2 (R) contains in-plant tolerance to Roundup® brand herbicides, enabling growers to spray Roundup® brands over the top, from planting through the V8 stage or 30-inch corn height, with excellent crop safety and no yield reduction. Compared to popular conventional corn programs, the Roundup Ready® Corn 2 system costs less, while allowing hybrids to reach their maximum yield potential. While the U.S. regulatory agencies have given full approval to Roundup Ready® Corn 2 for commerce in the U.S. for marketing and consumption as food, food ingredients and feed for livestock, certain regulatory approvals are pending in certain export markets. For more information on these approvals, or for assistance in locating domestic grain outlets, see the American Seed Trade Association web site (www.amseed.org) or contact Monsanto directly at 800-768-6387.

VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend (VT2PRO RIB) VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend (VT2PRO RIB) is a mix of 95% traited and 5% refuge seed. With refuge-in-a-bag, there’s no need to calculate or plant separate, structured refuge in the Corn-Growing Area. It contains dual modes of action for maximum protection against corn earworm and other above-ground pests, like European and Southwestern corn borers and fall armyworm. Tolerant to glyphosate.

DroughtGard® VT Double PRO® Corn (DGVT2P) DroughtGard® Hybrids with VT Double PRO® RIB Complete® Corn Blend contain the first double-stacked trait with dual modes of action for above ground insects and maximum protection against corn earworm. Superior genetics along with innovative drought-tolerant trait technology helps DroughtGard® Hybrids withstand drought conditions for a better chance of maximizing kernels per ear and overall yield potential. Tolerant to glyphosate.

SmartStax® RIB Complete® Corn Blend (SS RIB) is a mix of 95% Bt. traited, 5% refuge seed. You get all the benefits of SmartStax® technology, plus the convenience of 5% refuge seed interspersed in every bag. It has proven to have a 10 bu/A advantage over non-Bt. traited corn and a 20 bu/A advantage over non-Bt. treated corn + a soil-applied insecticide. SmartStax® corn is tolerant to both glyphosate and glufosimate herbicides.

Hybrids with the Agrisure® GT (GT) trait provide excellent tolerance to in-crop applications of glyphosate-based herbicides.

Agrisure Viptera® 3111 (VIP) A combination of the Agrisure Viptera® trait and the Agrisure® 3000GT triple stack, the Agrisure Viptera 3111 trait stack controls above- and below-ground insects for increased yield potential, higher quality grain, and glyphosate or glufosinate herbicide flexibility.

The Agrisure® GT/CB/LL (GTCBLL) trait stack provides season-long control of corn borer, as well as herbicide flexibility with both glyphosate and glufosinate tolerance.

The Agrisure® CB/LL/RW (CBLLRW) trait stack delivers excellent insect control—combining the season-long corn borer protection and glufosinate tolerance of Agrisure CB/LL with the corn rootworm control of Agrisure RW. Hybrids with the Agrisure CB/LL/RW trait stack can be used as part of a strategy to control glyphosate-tolerant volunteers in corn-on-corn rotations.

Hybrids with the Agrisure® 3000GT (3000GT) trait stack offer control of corn borer and corn rootworm with tolerance to both glyphosate and glufosinate herbicides.

Agrisure Artesian® 3011A (3011A) trait stack brings together the elite class of high-performing Artesian™ hybrids for season-long drought protection and the Agrisure® 3000GT trait stack, which offers herbicide flexibility as well as protection from corn borer and corn rootworm.

SOYBEAN TRAIT INFORMATION

Roudup Ready 2 Yield® Soybeans (R2)

Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans have demonstrated a clear yield advantage: They yield an average 4.5 Bu/A advantage over original Round Ready soybeans. Studies show that Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybeans develop greater root biomass, more nodes on the main stem and larger shoot biomass than original Roundup Ready® soybean products.

Enlist E3™

Enlist E3™ is the first three-gene, herbicide tolerant trait stack that pairs exceptional weed controls with elite varieties and outstanding yields. Growers can meet tough to control weeds head on using Enlist E3™ beans with tolerance to 2, 4-D choline, glyphosate, and glufosinate herbicides. This herbicide flexibility, along with strong yield and disease traits, will help to maximize profits on every acre.

Liberty Link GT27™

Liberty Link GT27™ was the first soybean trait to offer growers both glufosinate and glyphosate herbicide tolerance. This brings flexibility and few restrictions to in-season applications for growers looking to control weed resistance. Effective weed control and excellent yield potential makes for a winning combination. Also tolerant to a new HPPD/Group 27 mode of action for soybeans, pending EPA approval.

Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® Soybeans

Built on the high yielding Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybean technology, Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans is the industry’s first biotech-stacked soybean trait with both dicamba and glyphosate herbicide tolerance.

With tolerance to glyphosate and dicamba, farmers have access to additional tools to help control glyphosate-resistant broadleaf weeds such as Palmer amaranth, waterhemp and marestail, a long with other tough-to-control broadleaf weeds such as lambsquarters and velvetleaf.

LIBERTYLINK® PATENT STATEMENT:
